About ILO LONGWARRY

ILO Longwarry Early Education Centre provides high quality education and care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. ILO Longwarry recognises that every child is unique and supports individuals’ holistic growth with the world- renowned concepts of Finnish Early Education together with other elements. “ILO” means joy in Finnish; we believe that joy is vital to children’s learning journey and we look forward to sharing the happiness with your child and your family. 

Room Categories

We divide children into rooms by their age in order to meet individual needs:

  • Nursery

  • Toddlers & Pre-kindergarten

  • Kindergarten

Operating Hours


We operate from 6:30am to 6:30pm from Monday to Friday every week, except on public holidays.

SHARON DONNELLAN

My name is Sharon, and I am the Service Manager of ILO Longwarry Early Education centre. I have been a part of the early education sector for 30 years and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I have had many roles throughout my 30 years and each of them has given me ongoing passion and dedication to Early Childhood and my core belief that every child has the potential to change the world. To be a part of children’s learning journey is a privilege and I feel blessed every day I walk into the centre.

I truly believe that my educators and you the families have the greatest impact on the children's time in the centre. I am here to support you all and help create innovative, inspiring and fun environments for us all to engage in. 

Play is the ‘language’ children use to express their imagination, share their ideas and thoughts and make sense of their world. 

I believe the key to the future is based upon children’s ability to be independent thinkers; to problem solve; to reflect creatively; to interact socially; to explore their curiosity; to communicate effectively; to respect their natural world and of course, to be happy from within.  For those of us lucky enough to be working in early education we have the opportunity to support, guide and nurture the children to discover the beauty, they each hold within and the ability to make the world a better place. 

When I am not at work, I am spending quality time with my children, (I have 3) and my 3 perfect grandchildren. Family is everything and the most important thing in the world to me.  

As a family we love our footy – AFL,  BBQ’s, nights by a fire and creating memories to last forever. 

I am so excited and I truly feel blessed  to be a part of ILO Longwarry. I am a local – well Bunyip, so I feel a real connection to this gorgeous community already. I look forward to meeting you all, having a chat and building with you a centre we are all proud of and smile every day we open the front door.

We finally got the opportunity to celebrate our first birthday with all our families who were able to attend! 🎉 Nothing is more important to us then having all our families together and celebrating everything we have achieved over the last year!!!
