"They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them."

πΆ Music is a universal language that knows no boundaries of age. At ILO, we believe in harnessing its power to nurture creativity and expression in young children. π΅
Composing music with children at ILO is not only delightful but also incredibly valuable. It sparks their cognitive, emotional, and social development while igniting their imagination. πFrom the moment they are born, children are surrounded by a world of sounds. At ILO, we embrace their natural inclination toward making sounds and encourage them to explore the beauty of music.
πΉ Our educators engage with the children by singing lullabies together and inspire them to freely experiment with the piano, creating their own melodies. The joy of jamming music together brings endless smiles and laughter! πΆπ

Safety in our community
We prepared our very own construction site with our toddler friends.
Children engaged and contributed to our group project and were able to work collaboratively with each other.
We learnt the traffic light system for safety and enjoyed a road crossing game. We know we need to stop when we see the red light flashing and we can cross the road when the light is flashing green.
We used puzzles and books to further develop our understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation.

Our toddler 2 children had such an amazing time at the bike park. The children enjoyed taking turns on the bikes exploring the park looking at the different traffic sings and explaining what each site ment
the bus ride was so much fun lots of laughs and looking at the windows to see what we could spot i’ll add more photos latter
Excursions are a key way to develop a child's confidence as they are able to explore and begin to understand the real world. A child's confidence is vital to their development because it shows they have developed the necessary skills to move into primary school. #riding #confident #socialskills #welling
Sociocultural theorists emphasize that children better understand things related to their social environment and experiences through social interaction, including cooperation with those around them. In play, children show interest in their peers and become part of a team. In addition, they confidently express their feelings, thoughts, and ideas, which shows that children have a strong sense of well-being. #earlychildhoodeducation #earlylearning #wellbeing #socialinteraction
#everychildisanartist #artiseverywhere #earlychildhoodeducation #selfexpression #wellbeing #confidentlearners Artistic experiences and expression promote children’s formation of positive self-image, social skills, and the capability to understand the surrounding world. Creative expression also strengthens children’s ability to focus and self-regulate.
Yuna, our room leader of Toddler 1, and her team organized a library visit for their toddler for the past two weeks. The children go to the library by bus. Visiting a public library with young children is a great way to encourage their love of books and reading. Children will benefit from the rich social connections they make during their visits, while building their sense of belonging, as a public library is a safe space that brings people from different backgrounds together. #library #communityconnection #earlychildhoodeducation #earlylearning #reading
Thank our Nursery 2 room leader Mehnaz for organizing the police to come to visit us. A highlight of the visit was the children learning about police uniforms, how police are identified in our community and how police are always available to help when needed. They hear sirens (quietly of course), see all the lights blinking, and sit in a real police car. Having the police visit was not only very exciting for the children, but it also helped them to gain a deeper understanding of their community and to feel safe in the knowledge that the police are there to help them when they are in need. Thank you to the LGBTIQA+ liaison officers (LLo)team leading senior constable Gabrielle Tyacke And first constable Roma Concepcion and first constable Nikki Lester for taking the time to involve our children in this fantastic event. #policevisit #community #earlylearning #earlychildhoodeducation #lifelonglearner
Creativity plays in a natural environment. Creative play is a fundamental part of a child's development, both physical and mental. Outdoor play has clear physical benefits for developing children including helping children to acquire gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination and helping to prevent obesity. Sensory stimulation derived from interacting with natural environments allow children to learn with all of their senses.
